BRFC Junior & Teenage Rugby

We are looking forward to the 2024 Season with teams from Year 1 ripper, right through to Senior Girls (Years 10-13), Junior Boys (Years 9-10, numbers permitting) and Senior Boys (Years 11-13). 

NZ Rugby have aligned junior grades to school years from 2024.  So Under 6s will now be Year 1, Under 7s becomes Year 2, and so on.  Year 1 ripper is also available to pre-school players.

Again this year we'll be running a Year 3-5 (previously Under 8-10) rip team for kids who aren't ready or don't want to play tackle.  This is a great option for touch players looking to keep their skills sharp over the winter.

Our main goal is to be the club of choice in North-West Christchurch, having great family involvement within our club, and placing a strong emphasis on developing our players and coaches.

We are focused on trying to provide the best opportunities and environments for all our Players, Coaches and Managers, and will continue to do all we can to ensure this each season.
